Study and improvement of envelope trade-off option in design standard for energy efficiency of public buildings

The trade-off option of the envelope thermal performance is an overall building-performance evaluation method. Now it is applied to building energy standards of China, but there exits some problems in practical application. Summarizes the different building performance-based evaluation methods. Analyses the problems of China’s envelope performance-based evaluation method, and proposes some improvement measures, which can improve the validity and rationality of trade-off option.
